B2B Marketing: All your Adwords questions answered
Will the price of AdWords go up as more companies start to use them?
Yes, prices have risen and will continue to rise as the B2B Marketing Services market matures and the few remaining neanderthals still advertising in the mass media die off. Adwords are like an auction; you bid to be on page one. More bidders mean higher prices. However, the increasing competition in from Facebook (and LinkedIn) may work to offset this.
Should a price rise deter you?
No, because they are cheap now. And you won’t really have a choice, as your competitors will be there, even if you choose not to be.
Is Google’s dominance a concern to B2B Marketing?
Absolutely! They are challenging so many giant businesses. For example, Microsoft (with GMail and Drive: the perfect business platform for SMEs); Amazon (with Google Books), where they have an incredible business advantage in book sales. And what about driverless cars? Drones? etc.
But why will they stop at retailing books? They potentially have an advantage in selling any product. They are also aggressively challenging Facebook and LinkedIn with Google+, but Facebook is a ferocious competitor who will fight back. Who knows who will win!
But these issues are for Governments and the big boys to sort out. Right now your business needs to jump on the Adwords bandwagon and get rolling…
