B2B Marketing Strategy: 3 key tips for Copywriting
Upskill your B2B Marketing with these copywriting tips…
The B2B Marketing Copy ‘Wow effect’ Tips
We will leave you with three additional tips to bear in mind when you are sitting down to write any marketing copy:
- Only Sales Matter—Repeat: only sales results matter.
Branding is a nice by-product but is of little value to a business with hundreds of direct competitors.
Most businesses are simply too small for it to have any impact in an incredibly crowded market, and even big businesses struggle.
Don’t even think about trying to create a brand that is well known, because it’s simply unrealistic. What matters is the excellent service clients get when they come through your door.
Great service is what sells you to future clients, primarily through the all-important referrals and testimonials. So put your horse before your cart: provide that great service to lots of clients and the brand-building inevitably follows.

- Know your Math—Work out the Lifetime Value of a Client (LVC) of your HVPs.
Remember that a key part of this value is referring you to other HVPs. A common mistake is believing that you must make a profit on the first sale—this can be very self-defeating, given that the LVC is often extremely high.
- Attraction is Proportional to the Strength of your Repulsion—How easily you attract your HVPs is proportional to how good you are in rejecting those you don’t want.
For example, if you are a Financial Advisory firm and only want clients with investable funds of over $500,000, the right messages in your copy will automatically filter out those with less.
More importantly, the wealthy with funds to invest will be more attracted to you as you will appear abler to solve their unique problems. They’ll see you as a specialist for people just like them—a very powerful attractor (particularly for the rich!)
