How to Softly Start the Process Leading to Referrals

Like all marketing, getting referrals is about having a good process, so let’s see how to get cracking. 

Firstly, some ideas to use… 

• What are you already doing for clients that you could easily extend to prospects? 

• What more could you do that adds extra value for clients (and maybe extend to your HVPs)

• How can you enrol your clients in inviting prospects to share these experiences? 

• Celebrate that you met through a referral, if you did. 

And then, use the ‘Magic Referral Words’… 

• “Don’t keep me a secret.” 

• “I get paid in two ways: the first being money of course, while the second is with referrals.” 

• “I’m never too busy to follow up referrals!” 

• VoiceMail magic: “Thanks for calling, and if you were referred, please tell me who by so I can thank them”.
